Recolored Miller Covers
Tried my hand at re-coloring those Frank Miller Marvel covers
A little while back there was a lot being said about Frank Miller’s new Marvel covers, lots of digital ink was spilled, people were mad online, I wrote about it on this very ‘stack. I had decided to try my hand at re-coloring the covers to see if I could come up with a style that I felt worked. (I know at the end of my post I said keep the colorists away from the art - but… I couldn’t resist trying to solve the problem!)
Here are my recolored covers.
Basically tried to keep the whole thing as simple as possible and only do what was needed to create some depth and separation. Honestly his style is perfect for color now - it’s so simple that you really don’t need to do much at all!
