Some more press for House on Fire has hit. If you’re a reviewer/press person/whatever and would like to book an interview - do a review - or otherwise cover “House on Fire” please let me know! Obviously based on my work at Free the People the outlets it’s led to me getting some very specific press, but I hope that doesn’t turn anyone off from the book as I believe it’s a universal theme, although it clearly has struck a chord. Would love to get more comics-space press happening - so if you have a suggestion or connection - please let me know!
Also the Living the Line crew will be at MoCCA this weekend - so if you’re in NYC come visit!
Comic Book Yeti Interview
I did an interview over on CBY where I talk a little more about House on Fire process, themes, artistic intent, what I’m working on in the future. Etc.

The Federalist Radio Hour
I also went on The Federalist Radio Hour to discuss House on Fire with host Emily Jashinsky, I think the conversation went to some great places and we also discuss my work at Free the People specifically my directing the documentary Off The Grid. I think I covered some unique ground in this interview compared to the CBY interview.
Mean Age Daydream
Brian McWilliams had me on his show Mean Age Daydream we talked about the book, how we’re all stuck in a circle of awful takes and it’s making us miserable, and why you should just assume there are a bunch of bad asterix after any piece of legislation even if the headline sounds great. There’s also a video version if you’re into that kind of thing.
Glenn Beck Review
Glenn Beck left a glowing review of House on Fire, they did read quite a bit into the book - but I was intentionally vague for this reason, I want people to be an active participant while reading the book. This bit hits the nail on the head though:
House on Fire's poignant ending leaves the reader with a terrifying yet vitally important question: are the issues plaguing our society latent within society itself, or do they stem from the troubles within our own souls? Does society mold the human soul, or is society, as Plato puts it, the human soul "writ large?"
Battaglia's short yet powerful graphic novel brings to life many of the themes that Glenn has been warning his listeners. It is sitting on his desk, and we hope it will sit on yours too. It gives the reader a glimpse into our society after years of decay and oppression, calling on the reader to halt its progression before it's too late.

Get good press wherever you can get it IMO. That's a killer pull quote!
