Bret Easton Ellis Podcast
I went on the Bret Easton Ellis podcast recently to talk about House on Fire, Ghosts of the Carousel and a host of other topics. To say it was a bit of a system shock would be an understatement.
I flew out to LA and recorded the show in person with him. Bret’s maybe the most prepared interviewer I’ve seen work - he had this wonderfully written introduction that was a serious ego-booster for me. The fact that he not only read House on Fire and Ghosts of the Carousel - but enjoyed them enough to have me on his show to discuss them was an honor.
"...but while Ghosts of the Caroursel is about lost love, House on Fire is about Covid, the pandemic, the lockdowns, the vaccine mandates, and has an urgency that the earlier graphic novel lacked, because it was telling a more universal story... House on Fire is about what we all collectively suffered during those years, condensed into one tragic horror story.”
